Our name is our ethos, everything we make is of this earth, grown under the sun, a reminder of our responsibility to make considered choices for mindful living. We built Of The Sun together out of a shared commitment to thoughtful consumption, beauty and meaningful design.
We have grown the brand organically, working around life balance with our babies in tow, and poured our creativity and passion for fun and family into the brand's message. Founding Of The Sun has been one of our greatest privileges - giving us an outlet for creativity and expression. We have felt inspired by our growing families and our desire to connect with our like-minded community.
Family Founded
Of The Sun creates inspired objects for everyday life. The brand was built by Mim and Mantra out of a shared commitment to thoughtful consumption, beauty and meaningful design.
Mim and Mantra have been lifelong friends, introduced by their mothers when they were children. The brand is now owned by the step-mother of Mim's two daughters, Kate to continue the evolution of a family run business in Byron Bay, Australia.

Our sigil harks back to the days of artisanal luxury, inspired by French hand-pressed linen stamps. Our branding is designed to evoke a rich narrative that reveals at each touchpoint.

We have a core selection of products that we re-release every year in different colours and prints. Our manufacturer produces small quantities of as little as five per style, eliminating mass production, consumption and wastage. Our products value practicality and functionality without compromising beauty or design. When cared for, our linen can last generations.

Quilted Sleeping Bags
Of The Sun was first to create the Quilted French Linen Sleeping Bag with Organic Cotton Filling - the perfect single size sleeping bag for full sized and pint sized humans, with open-ended zips that can join two sleeping bags together to make a quilt. Mim and Mantra drew the unique design by hand from their kitchen table, and worked for years to perfect the innovation with our manufacturer.
The Quilted Sleeping Bag is made with a 165gsm pure, stonewashed linen on the outside, and soft 220gsm organic cotton filling on the inside. 100% machine washable and tumble dryer friendly. Think camping, picnics, sleep overs, cosy beds, cubby houses, or play mats. Made for indoors and outdoors, and something for the whole family.
